Abstrak: This paper aims to examine the principles of financial literacy that is focused onindividuals or families. A ssessments carried out in the field of literacy through theuse of funds, the determination of the source of expenditure, risk management, and retirement planning. By understanding and applying the concepts of personal finance or financial literacy is expected to have an individual or family can achievefinancial freedom, or in other words the pursuit of happiness since starting to work until retirement.
