TANGGUNG JAWAB SOSIAL DAN LINGKUNGAN PERUSAHAAN PERTAMBANGAN BATU BARA DALAM UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KESEJAHTERAAN MASYARAKAT KUTAI KARTANEGARA

ABSTRACT: Coal  is  a  natural  resource  of  Indonesia  to  be  used  as  well  as  possible  for  the prosperity of the people and not for the welfare of a few people. The purpose of this study  is  to  determine  the  impact  of  the  implementation  of  CSR  (Corporate  Social Responsibility)  programs  in  Kutai  Kartanegara  regency  in  order  to  improve  the welfare  of  society.This  study  used  qualitative  approach  that  seeks  to  generate  data and  information  that  are  reliable  and  valid.  Using  the  appropriate  method  for  the analysis  of  matters  relating  to  government  policy,  funding  sources  and  models  of CSR programs. From this study it appears that: 1. In general, program of Corporae Social  Responsibility  (CSR)  has  been  carried  out  by  the  Company;  2.  The implementation  of  CSR  programs  produce  a  positive  impact  on  improving  the welfare  of  people  in  and  around  the  mine  area;  and  3.  Government  policy  towards CSR program conceptually adequate but not optimal in order of implementation.
