Abstract: The isolation and antioxidant test have been carried out from Annona squamosa L leaves. The antioxidant test was carried by using the method of DPPH radical scavenging. The secondary metabolite was isolated by maceration and flash chromatography The antioxidant test of aceton and ether extracts gave inhibition value of 41.7 and 12.1 % respectively. The secondary metabolite isolated melting at 143.7-144.6 oC. The pure secondary metabolite isolated gave brownish red color with Liebermann-Burchard reagent this informed that compound is triterpenoid. The UV-Vis spectrum showed the compound absorbed at λmax 205.6 nm. While IR spectrum showed the presence of –OH, C–O alcohol, C-H, C=C, and specific absorption gem-dimethyl group.
